Q: I can't find the product I want. How do I search for it? A: Using the Keyword search feature, enter the product name, or category of the product in the space provided and click "Search." Advanced search features are also available.

Q: Does Bigg Fredd's have a retail store? A: After 28 years of having a retail store, we have switched to doing primarily Internet sales. By reducing the tremendous overhead of having a store, we are able to pass the savings on to you in the form of the lowest available prices on our detectors.

Q: What payment methods do you accept? A: We accept Paypal, Money Orders, Cashiers Checks, Western Union wires, Dead Presidents (cash), or Usable Mint US Postage at 80% of face in trade. Personal or business checks will be held until acceptable payment is made, then returned with your order.

Q: What should I expect once I place an online order? A: Once you submit your order, we will e-mail you confirming that we have received your order. We will ship as soon as payment is received.

Q: Where is my order? A:Most of our detectors are shipped by UPS the same day payment is received. Some exceptions include Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, APO and FPO addresses. which must be shipped USPS. Depending on where you are located, it can take 4-5 business days for you to receive your order by UPS, longer by USPS.

Q: What kind of guarantee do your detectors have? A: All our detectors are new (unless otherwise noted) and come with factory warranty. Everything we ship is insured.

Q: Can I pick up my detector in person? A: Since we no longer have a retail outlet, we are not geared for in-person sales. Your machine will usually be shipped to you directly from the distributor's warehouse or from Garrett, assuring you of receiving a fresh machine, ready to go.

Q: Are detectors sent as a kit, or completely assembled? A: For ease of packaging and shipping, detectors are shipped partially assembled. They come complete with batteries, and have about four parts to fit together. This should not take more than five minutes, and no tools are required.

Q: Do you ship internationally? A: We can, but there will be a substantial charge (typically $80-$120 on a machine) for the extra shipping and handling involved. In addition, you may be required to pay customs or duties charged by your government. All international shipments are declared for the full selling price (not including shipping), and the only acceptable payments are cash or Western Union wire. This makes international shipping impractical in most cases, unless you're buying one of the more expensive models. We reserve the right to refuse any order. Q: Do you charge sales tax? A: We are required by law to collect sales tax on any detector shipped to an Ohio address. Tax on Ohio sales is 7% of the purchase price, including shipping, if any. There is no sales tax collected on detectors shipped to any location outside Ohio.
